Torso
Cast aluminum, steel straight pins
While I was creating this piece, I was thinking of my 83 year old mother going through treatment for breast cancer. It was a difficult process for her. This Torso is a static, incomplete form unable to move freely. A once strong body required treatments that leave a record of scars and still pinned together.
